God in His mercy gives us life,
and many friends for us to love
He sends us many special gifts
from His great home in heaven above
The beauteous wonders of each coming morn
The radiant colours of each coming dawn
Remind us of His wondrous love
We know the pattern living takes,
with many failures, some mistakes
Yet he will help us with His love
and guide us to a home above
Our great Redeemer in His time
calls many weary folks to rest
Where we will meet them once again
No more with sorrow, nor with pain
And so your friends are close at hand
and yes, your grief we understand
But, God Himself is ever night
We all shall meet Him bye and bye
In the sweet bye and bye
